a decidedly average stay

mold shower edges fried food smell
the location proved suitable for my trip.
The room reeked of stale fried food, likely from the adjacent chip shop. Ventilation was nonexistent, so the smell permeated everything. the shower had mold around the edges and the water pressure was abysmal, more of a dribble really. I spotted no signs of recent work.

The bar had nice staff. I ordered food at the bar from the chippy next door (it was very convenient).
