Acceptable Stay but Some Disappointments

dated bathroom temperature problem
The food was good in the restaurant.
My room felt quite dated. The bathroom needed some work. I saw a shower curtain, and the showerhead looked like it needed cleaning. It wasn't what I hoped for. The room's temperature was also hard to manage. It felt either too cold or too hot.

tasty food good breakfast loud fans unpleasant sleep
The food in the restaurant was tasty, and breakfast was also quite good.
Our room was near the kitchens, and very loud fans started operating every morning at 5 am. I couldn't open the windows because of the noise. The room quickly got very hot, leading to an unpleasant night's sleep.

Lovely Mews Stay!

This location has it all! The staff go the extra mile making everyone feel welcome. The Mews room setup was fantastic. Room service was quick with great food. Fish and chips totally beat any I have tasted!
Breakfast had a fairly basic menu that could have been more extensive.

The hotel provides well kept grounds with lots of colourful flowers creating a picturesque environment, especially in the summer, so plan to take a lot of photos and videos. I saw cosy Walker lounge with real fires creating a very warm ambiance.

Staff were always cheery, courteous, and efficient, very important. I got prompt room service that was very helpful when needing something at a short notice. The team seems well-coordinated.

The hotel sits conveniently opposite a famous golf course making it perfect for golf enthusiasts. I saw the sea close by too, perfect for a walk and to take photos. This spot offers both recreation and relaxation.

My room included storage. a bath and a shower, very useful after a long day. Bottled water, tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided as a free compliment. I saw lots of sockets and good lighting so I could work if needed.

mixed feelings about the stay

cold room basic breakfast
the restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly
the room was too cold throughout the evening i was offered an electric heater this was not useful because of health issues also the option to turn on the radiator should be considered the weather can change quickly in scotland. the breakfast was also disappointing it was fairly basic. i expected more from the hotel.
