bleach smell early check-in charge

the room was clean and large enough for my needs.

I was assigned a room initially smelling strongly of bleach. It felt unsafe. the manager stated all rooms smelled like that but this was inaccurate as the second room i was given was fine. there was an additional charge for checking in early, something i found quite frustrating.

the breakfast choices were really good. the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. special thanks goes to those female staff working in the breakfast area, they helped me greatly with some phone connectivity issues i encountered. the location is also very nice, surrounded by nice restaurants.

i arrived before my room was ready. i left my luggage, then checked in later for my stay (it was two nights). after a busy afternoon, i just wanted to chill out before dinner. housekeeping was poor, there was a dubious stain on the bath towel.

the breakfast choices were acceptable (i especially liked the croissants).

i arrived before my room was ready. the room bin was not emptied from previous occupancy, i noticed. i found black mould on the bathroom ceiling. it was not good.

i found the hotel staff lovely. the room decor was fine and the room itself was massive. i really appreciated the complimentary water and the efficient room service whenever i needed it.

i arrived before my room was ready. i left my luggage, then checked in later for my stay. i noticed a dubious stain on a bath towel. i probably won't rush back.

the hotel is seamlessly victorian mixed with ultra modern styles. the entrance to the hotel connects directly to the station concourse, a very convenient feature. the christmas decorations created a magical atmosphere, like being wrapped in a cosy blanket.

the staff were very helpful and friendly. my room included complimentary water, a nice touch. the location was very convenient, right in the heart of the city centre.

the housekeeping was not good (i found a dubious stain on a bath towel). the room bin had not been emptied from the previous guest. i also noticed black mould on the bathroom ceiling and in the shower.

The room included a separate sitting area with its own TV. The bathroom featured a roll-top bath and a rainfall shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. They offered complimentary drinks to celebrate my anniversary!!!
