A Romantic Highland Getaway

intimate setting convenient parking cosy restaurant
The cottages provided a really intimate setting, separate from the main building. My room was spotlessly clean. Free parking was just outside. The location made hiking easy, right from the venue to the Loch. The on-site restaurant was cosy, and I could order from my table outside.
The temperature of the breakfast buffet was not always perfect.

The room was spacious, contributing to a more comfortable stay. It was in a separate cottage, and this ensured quiet and privacy (a quality I value). I had a beautiful view looking out towards the water and the surrounding hills.

The hotel is almost directly on the loch. This made it very easy to start hikes right from the venue around the lake. The views were fine (it is a photographer's dream).

good food choice cute staff loch view unwelcoming reception long wait
i ate in the restaurant after a walk. The food was amazing and there was a good choice of food. The staff were efficient and cute. It was easy to book a meal online.
we wanted to sit with loch views but sat in the bar area. A lady on reception kept us waiting a WHILE i think. It was a little unwelcoming. i didn't like it.

warped floors distant view
the meals at the inn met my expectations.
I was annoyed THE premium pod didn't feel worth the extra cost. It had warped floors and lacked expected extras. The loch view was distant, more of a lawn view. I was disappointed about that.

small room awful view
The room size was smaller than advertised. I thought the website was misleading. the view was awful too. I looked directly at a fence and another guest's parked car. walking to the restaurant in the rain was annoying and the duvet was too thin. the bathroom never got warm, and the shower had terrible temperature control.
