friendly welcome dog treats spacious layout
The reception team gave such a friendly welcome upon arrival. They took a real interest in our dog, even asking his name and giving him treats. We had booked a dog-friendly room in advance. Our room presented a spacious layout paired with a fantastic view, and a sizable bath was present. The hotel team prepared a dog bowl and treats in the room. It was a lovely, thoughtful touch.
The dinner and breakfast choices did not quite reach my expected standard, and the shower lacked some effectiveness. It was a small letdown.

Acceptable stay overall

convenient location attentive staff really good food brick wall corrugated roof low water pressure
The location is REALLY convenient. It is just a short walk from the ferry terminal. The staff were attentive. They worked hard to ensure guests were taken care of. The food was really good too. Everything was locally sourced.
My room was on the side, so the view was a brick wall. Outside my window was a corrugated roof of another building. It rained all night, and it was like sleeping in a bus shelter. The bathroom had a small shower head with little pressure, disappointing.

restricted view high price
the location directly opposite the ferry terminal made arrival simple. breakfast was large, setting us up well for the day.
The room i booked, a king room sea view. did not deliver the view i hoped for, it reminded me of a restricted view at best. the price of drinks at the bar was also quite high. I paid £9 for a glass of wine.
