Great stay. Beautiful location

private pond walking path cozy fireplace
The location includes over 17 acres with a pond, lake and walking paths. i saw alpacas, a peacock and hens. the breakfast was delicious. It was made to order. i liked the whisky pairings with chocolate cake in the library. it had a cozy fireplace.
the room service policy needs improvement. after my first night, my room was not serviced. the bed was not made, and the bins were not emptied.

ABSOLUTELY magnificent stay!

plentiful breakfast beautiful gardens woodland area
The breakfast was plentiful. I preordered it the night before, and it was delivered promptly. The gardens and woodland areas were so beautiful. I had a WONDERFUL time exploring the area around the hotel.
I noticed a musty smell coming from a bathroom on the second floor. I had to pass by it every time I needed to get to my room.

My room was so lovely. It included whimsical touches and a comfortable bed. The villa was comfortable, with sizable rooms and modern fittings in a turn-of-the-century home, which gave a luxurious atmosphere.

The location is magical. Alpacas, chickens, and peacocks wander the grounds. I sat on the balcony and terrace enjoying the views of the water and the surrounding landscape.

some issues NEED addressing

peeling wallpaper musty smell
The rooms were a bit of a mixed bag. our "Beautiful Double Room" felt a tad tired. i noticed peeling wallpaper in one corner and A musty smell wafted from the bathroom, which honestly wasn't ideal. the lack of daily room service surprised me. For the price, i expect at least a basic tidy-up. it's just a little thing, BUT it does detract from the overall experience.
