lovely village stay
accommodating lady delicious food friendly service
the hotel sits right on the main street. i found a great deli next door (the lady who runs it was accommodating). she warmed up our food and gave us plates and cutlery. i really enjoyed the service with a smile.
it was a little noisy at night, because the local pub's music travelled upstairs.

the hotel has a restaurant and a bar that serve substantial meals. the atmosphere inside and out had a unique feel to it. once the tour buses left at night, the area became very quiet.

my room included stonework and many windows. it overlooked the street and the outdoor eating area. the room was warm and clean, a great space to relax (the bed was comfy!).

the hotel is in the village center on the main street. i found a few coffee shops nearby. falkland castle is also across the street from the hotel (it is hard to miss!).

A Comfortable Stay
cozy room delicious breakfast worn carpet loose headboard
The room was very cozy. Stonework and many windows overlooking the street made it well-lit. The included breakfast was delicious (I especially enjoyed the selection of local jams).
My room's carpet showed some wear. The headboard wasn't fully attached, resulting in a slight rattle at times. This was a minor inconvenience, but noticeable.

cute staff prompt service
The staff was very cute. I found the breakfast large and tasty. The atmosphere in the bar was great, service always prompt. Dinner was amazing!!!
The hotel is unmanned overnight. Instructions indicated what to do if there was a problem. I could not get in touch with management after calling the urgent line number when the alarm started at 4am.

Staff provided accommodating late check-in. Limited staff were working the restaurant, bar, and lobby. They were still doing a good job, which I appreciated a lot. Personal was lovely.

The room was nice, spacious and clean. The bathroom had great features. I could easily use the TV for streaming services like Netflix. The hotel was kept well.

It was easy to get street parking. I found a nearby spacious parking lot as an alternative. The area was quiet, offering a nice view. It was a lovely location.
