a decent place to stay

nice staff good food tired hallway chipped door
the staff was really nice. the food was very good and reasonably priced (i especially liked the specials). the room was comfortable and it had a nice tea and coffee tray with extras. parking was easy.
the hallways were tired and dirty. the hotel needed redecorating and modernisation (it felt a bit dated). doors were chipped and needed painting. it looked like the dining room hadn't been decorated in decades.

mixed feelings about the stay

worn-out carpets peeling paint
the staff were friendly enough (i cannot deny that).
the hotel felt dated and could use some updates. i noticed worn-out carpets on the stairs and peeling paint on the windows. the photos online made the grounds look a lot better than they actually were (a bit of a disappointment).
