great location helpful staff amazing view
the location was great. a staff member helped me carry my bags to my room, nice. the view out of my room's window out over the city was amazing, my favorite thing about the room.
the breakfast menu had a very basic selection.

the hotel is in a superb location, very close to the railway station. a tesco supermarket is just a short two-minute walk away. there are also plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area.

the hotel offers complimentary caramel wafers and bottled water daily. the staff provided a helpful city map upon check-in. hot chocolate and cake are available at the hotel, a lovely treat.

clean room comfy bed great location quiet bar basic menu small room
The room was lovely (I got the Superior Double or Twin Room!). It was very clean, and housekeeping did a fab job each day! The bed was comfy, I slept like a log. The hotel is in a great location. The Royal Mile is just a short walk away.
The bar was a little quiet, and I was like it lacked atmosphere. The breakfast menu seemed quite basic. It was the poorest selection I have ever been offered considering the price. Our rooms were very, very small.

The hotel is very close to the train station and the bus station. I appreciated the complimentary tea cakes and hot drinks that were in the room. The staff was polite and very helpful throughout my visit.
The road outside was VERY noisy. The trams caused a lot of disturbance passing by. I also wanted a drink one night at 9:30, but I was told the bar was already closed, EVEN though it should have been open later.
