amazing experience!
quality produce festive decorations
i'm so excited to share about my stay! the breakfast selection was extensive with quality produce and i didn't need to eat again until teatime. the staff were cute they were attentive ensuring i felt safe with my gluten-free needs.
the stairs were many to reach upper-level rooms i did feel fitter upon leaving but this could pose a challenge with mobility issues. assistance with luggage would have been helpful upon arrival.

the room was super clean and stylish providing a pleasant ambiance it was spacious making it less of edinburgh i saw than planned. a tea and coffee maker in the room ensures a comforting stay. usb chargers next to the bed were super useful.

the breakfast offered many choices including continental options omelettes and a huge full scottish cooked breakfast. it's served from 8am to noon so there is no rush. i thought the quality produce was very good too.

the hotel offers whisky tasting experiences which i observed it looked super. the hotel is in a georgian terrace it is also near calton hill. it is an easy walk to shops bars and restaurants.

quality produce large portion great location small room old facility window difficulty
the breakfast included quality produce. it was a large portion (i didn't need to eat until teatime after that!). the hotel has a great location next to calton hill. it was an easy walk to shops and restaurants.
the room was small. a single bed and a tiny desk filled the room. the facilities were old and the window was not easy to open or close.

shower problem steaming hot water
The staff was helpful and friendly. They insisted on carrying my luggage upstairs. The building has no lift.
The shower in my room was a HUGE problem. I stayed in room 12 and the shower went from ice cold to scalding hot. I could not find a middle ground despite many attempts. This could be dangerous if not fixed, because it was steaming hot!
