Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Callander Woods Holiday Park is appreciated for its well-maintained grounds, cleanliness, and proximity to nature, with lovely walks directly from the site and a wooded dog exercise area by the river. The caravans are spacious, and the Junior Deluxe Lodges feature hot tubs and are dog-friendly. While the road within the park can be a bit narrow when maneuvering caravans, Callander's shops are within walking distance, and a Londi's selling slushes is even closer.

peaceful retreat

spacious seating secure park
the caravan was spacious. it had everything i needed for cooking. the location was excellent (close to the town). the park area felt very secure. the hot tub was always available and checked daily.
i think the park could use a signpost to indicate a one-way system. it would help the traffic flow. on-site entertainment or a bar with food would be perfect too. these additions could enhance the guest experience.
Dining
8/10
the kitchen area had ample space. the shower had good water pressure. it was nice and hot after a long walk on the hills. there are options for takeaway nearby too.
Facilities
9/10
the grounds were well-kept with a high standard. lovely walks are accessible directly from the site, including a designated dog walk area. the anpr arrival system was easy and efficient.

peaceful retreat

clean grounds helpful staff convenient trips
the grounds were well kept and clean, with the grass neatly cut. the staff were available to assist, and a taxi service was accessible for trips. callander is easily accessible by car, which makes for convenient trips..
i noticed the road was somewhat narrow, made maneuvering the caravan into its space a bit tricky. it required extra caution to avoid incoming cars. a one-way signpost could improve traffic flow within the park.
Location
9/10
the location provides a peaceful setting with easy access to nature. it is also conveniently close to the town center, though it requires a short walk. this allows guests to enjoy both tranquility and accessibility to amenities.
Facilities
8/10
the site is well kept with open spaces and designated areas for dog exercise. it offers a quiet atmosphere without on-site entertainment, which contributes to a peaceful stay. the absence of a shop encourages visits to nearby callander.
Rooms

the caravan had ample space and cleanliness. it was adequately equipped and provided a comfortable environment. the cleanliness and maintenance extended to the grounds surrounding the caravans.

Acceptable stay OVERALL

clean glamping excellent location necessary item darkness tight space narrow tar
The glamming pod was clean. It contained EVERYTHING we needed for our stay. THE location was excellent.
On finding the pods in the dark there is no lighting at them. Trying to reverse into a tight space between a tree and the pod in the dark with no lighting isn't easy. The tar mac isn't wide enough so you have to go on the grass slightly.
