GLENCOE YOUTH HOSTEL, Ballachulish

Set in one of Scotland's most spectacular historic glens, the alpine-style Glencoe Youth Hostel sits at the end of the Aonach Eagach ridge. Walkers and climbers use the hostel as a base for the dramatic Lost Valley (Coire Gabhail) or the nearby Glencoe mountain resort. The Sustrans path to Oban is accessible by bike from the hostel.

The hostel has solid wood panelled rooms, larger family rooms, shared accommodation, and separate one-bedroom chalets. The entire property is available for exclusive private rental. Lockers, luggage storage, and a secure bike store are provided.

A wee breakfast is served in the large dining room, and a well-equipped self-catering kitchen is open to all guests. Packed lunches, basic provisions, confectionery, and soft drinks are available to purchase at reception. The bar sells Scottish craft beer and wine in the evening.

The hostel has a drying room, a garden with outdoor furniture, and a cosy lounge with a shared TV area. Free WiFi, free on-site parking, laundry facilities, and ski storage are available. Pets are welcome (pet bowls provided), and the building is non-smoking throughout with a designated outdoor area.

Key card access and a security alarm are in place across the property. Fire extinguishers and smoke alarms are provided throughout. An invoice is issued for each stay.
