Monachyle Mhor Hotel is often described as a magical experience, set in the charming Trossachs along Loch Voil in Balquhidder. The rooms are beautifully furnished, featuring comfortable beds and a courtesy tray, often including homemade shortbread; guests particularly enjoy the cosy bar with its roaring fire. comfortable bed homemade shortbread open fire
The room included a comfortable bed and a courtesy tray! We found homemade shortbread there. The bar featured an open fire, it made pre-dinner drinks cosy. I saw Donald, the baby Highland Cow, he was very sweet.

some issues during stay

outdated guide disappointing experience
i was a little annoyed that the guest welcome guide mentioned things that were not available anymore , like 'a bothy with firepit, bluetooth speaker and ice buckets'. the receptionist said it had been closed for several years , this information should be updated. also , the restaurant experience was disappointing. the £95 per person three-course dinner felt overpriced , my steak came with just spinach leaves and no sides. i left feeling hungry and unsatisfied.
