poor soundproofing limited food
i found one issue particularly unsettling. the room lacked proper soundproofing. noise from both inside and outside was intrusive. it disrupted any chance of a quiet night. the absence of food during the week also posed a problem. there are no nearby alternatives.

charming stay

comfortable room generous shower
the rooms are nice and neat, each room features a double bed, a desk. one chair and a tv. tea and coffee making facilities are in my room plus biscuits. the en-suite shower is a generous size, a real plus after a long day.
i checked online too, this say the restaurant was closed on mondays but it was not a problem. i discovered they did not open on monday or tuesday, including the bar.

breakfast was great, it featured a wide selection including vegetarian options. the cooked breakfast is good too and they have a good choice of food for the evening meal. i find it all lovely.

staff are friendly and helpful, they provide safe storage for bikes. easy check-in processes are available, i saw easy to locate directions right from the road. a key lockbox is outside the accommodation door, i thought this very convenient.
