The room had traditional furniture and attracted wood floors. breakfast was delicious and delivered to my room, a nice service. the bedding was high quality and very comfortable. The bed was huge. we loved that.

warm room friendly hosts fine location
the room was warm. it was very comfortable too. sarah and felix were very friendly. they were accommodating. i loved the fine quiet location. the estate was beautiful and off the beaten track.

our quarter was fine. it was arranged with beautiful period furniture. a wonderful big comfortable bed was dressed in white linen. the room was very clean and a pleasure to stay in.

the grounds of the hotel is lovely. amazing mature trees are in an ancient woods. the green moss is just like velvet. very good hikes are in the doorsteps with the most gorgeous views.

underwhelming stay

weak coffee damaged furniture
the hotel location was great and allowed easy access to the surrounding nature trails.
The room felt neglected. The shower was leaking and some furniture was damaged. breakfast was simple but the pastries seemed stale, and the coffee tasted weak. the overall maintenance of the hotel needs more attention.

communal table comfortable beds spacious room
i found the room spacious. it had a comfortable seating area and comfortable beds. i enjoyed chatting with other guests at the communal table during breakfast. the cooked breakfast was good!
i noticed there were no common sitting areas provided, such as a separate area to read. i also found that there was no tv available in the room.

Breakfast was brought to the room. It had a continental and scottish twist. the breakfast was AMAZING!!! the location at the end point of the nc500 trip was superb.

ponies roam freely around the hotel, it was a magical sight to see! wifi access was good throughout the building. parking was plentiful too, i never struggled to find a space.
