great size fabulous location dog hair road noise
the family room was a great size and so was the bathroom. it had thoughtful touches such as a mat to put wet boots on. the location was also fabulous right on the lock gates.
the carpet was covered with dog hairs. i'm sure the room is hoovered daily but it's not enough to remove them. the room with the balcony had road noise if you're a light sleeper perhaps avoid this room.

Excellent stay near the canal

central location spacious room terrace area accommodating staff
The location was central (close to everything). The room was clean and spacious. I liked the terrace area. Staff were accommodating with requests.
The internet connection was not very strong . I would not recommend relying on it if you need consistent access. Even my mobile data had minimal connection.
Rooms
9/10
The room included dedicated space for wet clothing and boots. A drying rail was present in the bathroom. Tea and coffee supplies were available in generous amounts (more than i could consume!).
Location
10/10
The hotel is situated right next to the canal locks. It provided fine views over the river oich (i could watch the boats). Nearby, there were several places to get food, including a chinese takeaway.

The room was clean. It had enough space for my luggage.
Checking in became a real hassle. I didn't realize no staff would be present. The key safe idea seemed weird. Contact information in case of issues was unclear.

There was very limited internet access. i wouldn't recommend staying here if you need internet. There was minimal connection even with my own internet plan. this made planning my next day quite difficult, and i found it pretty frustrating.
