Wonderful Stay at This Gem
helpful staff blanket post teddy bear
The staff was very cute and helpful. They even posted my son's blanket, also his teddy that we had left behind. I can't thank the owner enough!
The breakfast self-service system had some issues. The butter looked used, also it contained crumbs. The fruit in the basket showed signs of going off.

The hotel is in a quiet hamlet. I love that it is far from big cities, though a major storm closed some roads. We still found the location easily!

The continental breakfast offered many choices for a continental style meal. The landlord even saved me some food. I also got a cake to go before the cafe was officially open!

The staff provided friendly service. Gareth, the owner, offered helpful advice before arrival! He continued to be helpful upon our arrival. I received very good communication from him.

The facilities were superb. There was even a small living room. a television was available for our use. The bedrooms were comfortable. They also featured snuggly doonas, not heavy cotton ones you find in many hotels!

easy directions cozy room
gareth gave directions, this made the lodge easy to find. the room felt cozy and clean. i enjoyed the living area and the breakfast had all i needed for my day.
The shower goes from lukewarm to scalding. It was unpleasant to use.

communal lounge self-serve breakfast friendly hosts
the hosts were super friendly. the location offered fine views! i really enjoyed the communal lounge and kitchen. it made self-catering easy. the self-serve breakfast was a great perk. it included many options to start the day.
The bathroom door did not lock properly. That was a minor inconvenience.

a lovely stay
clean accommodation useful kitchen sufficient breakfast provided supplies
the accommodation was very clean. the shared kitchen and living room were useful spaces. the breakfast was simple, yet sufficient and free. i especially liked that the owner provided supplies for breakfast, allowing me to eat at my leisure.
The shower temperature fluctuated from cold to scalding. This made showering unpleasant.
