warm welcome delicious steak good size
the family owned hotel welcomed me warmly.. the owner even farms. i had a delicious steak sourced from his own herd! the room was a good size.
the shower head was completely broken and wasn't working properly.. it went from very hot to very cold automatically!

This hotel provided convenient parking. A young man carried my luggage upstairs which i appreciated. I found the bed comfortable. The ev charger worked without any issues.
My room window did not fully close so i heard motorway noise.

Acceptable but Not Without Issues

cold room faulty shower
The on-site restaurant provided convenient dining options.
The room was in an annex separate from the main building. It was uncomfortably cold upon arrival and took hours to warm up and I found this unacceptable after a long day of travel. The shower was faulty too it alternated between freezing and scalding water on its own.

the staff was friendly and accommodating. the hotel has ample parking. i found the breakfast starting at 7am very convenient. the hotel's location just off the a74(m) made it ideal for a stopover.
The hot water tap in the basin had no water coming out of it. It requires attention.

ample parking high standard friendly staff excellent sweets
the building itself is quite attractive with ample parking space. i admired the ground floor's high standard of decoration. i found the bar well-stocked with nice staff. the food, especially the sweets, was AMAZING!!!
The room could have benefited from additional attention to detail regarding cleanliness. I noticed a considerable amount of dust throughout the space.

The room offered a spacious layout with period features. I found a large bathroom with a bath (it had a useful shower attachment!). Dinner presented a beautiful menu with good selections. Breakfast proved lovely and plentiful too.
