Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Old Boathouse offers a characterful stay in a fully modernized, 18th-century stone building right on the shore of the Tay estuary, with views across to Dundee City near the railway viaduct and road bridge. The location provides intimacy and freedom, with Newport just five minutes away. While some guests without a car found it a bit isolated for reaching towns, cafes and restaurants, the waterfront views are widely appreciated.

a decent stay

beautiful room water view well supplied owners responsive owners far away towns far away cafes far away restaurants
i appreciated the room's view. it overlooked the water , and it was quite scenic. the room was also well-stocked with essentials.
the location was a bit isolated for those without a car. getting to nearby towns , cafes , or restaurants required transportation. this made exploring the area more challenging.
