Inverness Youth Hostel is a 10-minute walk from Inverness Rail Station and a 10-minute walk from Eastgate shopping centre. Hootananny, a popular music venue, is a 15-minute walk from the hostel. Culloden Battlefield is a 10-minute drive away, and Loch Ness is a 20-minute drive from the property.

The hostel has a shared kitchen, garden, and picnic area for guests. A shared lounge and TV area provide additional communal space, and a bar and snack bar are on site. Free private parking, bicycle storage, and accessible parking are available, along with a designated smoking area.
