friendly staff informative check-in excellent breakfast gross carpet disgusting flooring real shower
The staff was friendly. I found the check-in easy and informative. breakfast surprised me. It ranged from a simple continental choice to a full scottish breakfast. it was more excellent than some starred hotels i have stayed in.
I found the carpet gross. I didn't want to walk barefoot on it. the bathroom flooring was also disgusting to me. i think the tub should be replaced with a real shower.

adequate stay but some issues

the location suited my needs for visiting the nearby distilleries perfectly.
My room was right above the pub. It was very noisy until late at night, disruptive to my sleep. this was a significant downside and impacted my overall experience. i wish i had known about the noise beforehand.
