The room had a view of the sea (i saw Isle of Bute). The food in the restaurant was very good. The bar had a vibrant atmosphere with locals and hotel guests mixed together.
The parking lot has limited spaces when the hotel is busy.

Really good Stay With Amazing Scenery

varied choices daily specials excellent food fantastic views
The breakfast menu featured many choices and was superb. Dinner options were varied, with daily specials available. The chef prepared excellent food. I found the location to be fantastic with great views.
The wifi signal was unreliable. It was difficult to complete my work tasks.

The premises include convenient parking. I noted outdoor seating to sit and have a drink while you watch the sun set over the hills. I also saw that the hotel allows dogs. There is a charge for pets.

I enjoyed the fresh eggs at breakfast. The hotel has hens. the fish and venison options at dinner were sourced locally. the staff members were friendly and helpful . the building had nice artwork and furniture in public areas.
i found the top floor room had a restricted view of the kyle.

Charming Hotel with GREAT Food

comfy bed fresh eggs breakfast options
The room was equipped well. I appreciated the comfy bed after a long day of travel. Breakfast was AMAZING!!! It had plenty of options with ultra-fresh eggs sourced directly from the hens outside the breakfast room. I definitely enjoyed observing the hens roaming freely.
The order for a drink took an extended amount of time.

The breakfast room had a lovely view. It was almost worth waking up for.
The room was small, particularly the bathroom. maneuvering was a challenge. I think i spent half my time apologizing to the furniture for bumping into it. the food seemed inconsistent too. Some dishes were fine, others not so much. i wouldn't say it ruined my stay, but it certainly added to the adventure in a way i didn't quite appreciate.
