clean room well equipped room tastefully decorated bar dated decor black linen black wall
the room was very clean and well equipped (i was impressed). the premises were beautiful. the bar had been extensively refurbished and had a lot of history and was very tastefully decorated. i found it well worth the drive.
The decor throughout needs freshening up with paler and neutral colors. the hotel decor was not to my taste. Black and gold were everywhere. i found the black bed linen and towels not a good look, and the black painted walls in the room and bathroom looked dated.

helpful staff amazing location good food dated decor boudoir theme duvet cover
The receptionist Amanda was very helpful. She kept the kitchen open a little longer, as i was running late. She sorted a packed meal left in the reception, as i had to leave before breakfast (this was very kind). The food was really good and the location amazing.
My room decor was a bit dated. I found the black and gold theme throughout the inn rather boudoir. The duvet cover fabric raised questions (i hope it was washed). There was no replenishment of biscuits or coffee.
