cheerful staff excellent breakfast comfortable bed
every staff member i met was cheerful. they addressed my questions professionally. the breakfast was excellent. i slept very well in the comfortable bed. i ate an evening meal that was really good. the mussels were the best i have ever tasted. i will certainly return.

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. breakfast was nice with a wide selection. the location was great. It allowed easy access to nearby attractions.
the sound insulation was appalling between rooms. i could hear everything from the neighboring room. the hotel parking was limited, and i had to park a small walk away.

a reasonable stay

fresh food excellent service quick order small room noise level high price
I had lunch at the hotel bar and it was amazing. everything tasted fresh and the presentation was well done. i ordered sandwiches and soup (salmon and cream cheese) and it was delicious. the service was excellent. My order was taken quickly and my food arrived within 15 minutes.
I was a little disappointed with the room. the 2nd room i booked for my family was much smaller than mine, but cost the same. i understand it is an old building, but the size should be reflected in the price. there was also noise at night from the rooms above. I could hear people walking around and the floors creaking.

carpet stains obscured loch view
the room smelled strongly of mothballs, a scent i found rather unpleasant. there were also several stains on the carpet, not exactly adding to the ambiance. honestly, i think a deep clean is overdue. and the 'loch view' was mostly obscured by a very large tree!!!
