I was pretty excited about the food, after reading some comments. the onsite restaurant was, however, quite disappointing. the food was average at best, and the vanilla ice cream tasted... off. also, the breakfast was way too greasy. My plate was swimming in oil. i definitely expected better.

the location near the castle worked fine.

The room was small. the bathroom sink was tiny. It felt more like a hand basin from a toilet. there wasn't any shelf or mirror above the sink, and the only mirror was above the toilet. the view looked out on a messy backyard, a motion sensor light outside kept turning on during the night and shone right in.

Breakfast had good options. The location suited my travel plans near the Isle of Skye. Staff were helpful and friendly. They quickly addressed a minor issue. A pool table was available for recreation.

The room lacked a fan, so it got quite warm, especially after opening the window.

the breakfast included tasty options, and i found the location great for visiting the castle and catching the bus. my room was quaint and clean. the traditional pub connected to the hotel was lovely, and my room above it was quiet.

the room wasn't particularly big!

the location was beautiful (close to the castle!). the room was very comfortable. the staff and the food were very nice.

The sink was old with two separate hot and cold taps. There was no shampoo in the bathroom.
