Satisfactory Stay with Minor Issues

separate sofa large windows cooked breakfast hand soap missing soap coffee cups
The room included a separate sofa area. Large windows allowed views of the countryside. I especially liked the highland cows on the hotel. I also found the cooked breakfast to be quite good.
There was not enough hand soap available. (It was a bit of a surprise.) No soap was provided for washing coffee cups. I found these small oversights detracted slightly from the experience.

a bit disappointing experience

insufficient soap cash payment
the room was spacious and met my basic expectations.
there was not enough soap provided. it made basic hygiene a challenge. i also found it inconvenient that i needed cash to pay for breakfast, as i rarely carry cash. i wish i had been informed about this payment preference earlier.

cash payment insufficient soap
The room was clean and furnished nicely, I guess.
I wasn't thrilled that I had to pay in cash for breakfast. It felt a bit dodgy. The website said breakfast wasn't included, but nobody told me it was cash only until AFTER I ate. the room didn't have enough hand soap, nor any soap for washing coffee cups... hygiene wasn't exactly a priority.
