charming and ghosty stay

victorian dining hall excellent staff scary carpet
i felt transported back to the 1950s, which i found charming. the staff was excellent, and the victorian dining hall was a highlight. i did find the carpet scary but the hotel felt clean and well cared for.
the wall in my room was chipped and scratched, it needed a fresh coat of paint. the furniture also felt outdated. i did not enjoy the breakfast, the coffee on offer was only filter and the milk jug felt warm.
