limited view uncontrollable heat
My single room was a bit of a letdown. it faced the back and offered a charming view of, well, nothing. also, the radiator seemed stuck on full blast. adjusting it did nothing. I nearly roasted all night. next time, i'll request a room not directly above the boiler room or at least one with a window i can crack open.

mixed experience, some issues observed
poor insulation nonfunctional heating
the room was clean.
I found the noise insulation to be poor. i could distinctly hear conversations and general activity from adjacent rooms. the bathroom lacked a functional heating system. This made the space uncomfortably cold. the window looked poorly sealed. This further contributed to the overall lack of thermal comfort.

basement room loud plumbing
The duty manager, Ryan, was helpful and cooked a great breakfast. He also gave directions to parking.
My room was in the basement near the staircase. This meant I heard other guests a lot. Plumbing also made loud noises when I used water. The room felt dark because the window was below street level.

a decent stay
amazing location helpful staff
The location really worked for me. It was amazing for my needs. the staff and the hotel worked well together.
The bed was rock solid. It squeaked every time i moved. the water system had a horrible airlock and woke me up four times in the night!

non-functioning radiator wet towels
The staff was helpful, especially regarding directions. The breakfast had tattie scones on the menu.
The room felt cramped. The towels were not replaced one morning. The radiator did not work, so I had to use wet towels after a shower.
