decent stay
delicious food nice music dark staircase empty cage
the food at dinner was delicious, especially the beef stew. i sat next to a local neighbor, who eats there every friday night. the young staff selected very nice music that felt cozy. the staff was generally super nice and helpful.
i noticed a live parrot in a cage at the bottom of a dark staircase. the cage was empty except for newspaper and scattered seed.

beautiful driveway warm welcome tasty haggis
The driveway to the house is beautiful, and I found parking right outside the entrance! The team were friendly and quickly helped me to my room. Dinner in the restaurant was a fantastic experience. The food arrived hot, was tasty, and service was quick. Breakfast included very tasty haggis!
I noticed the bedroom wasn't as clean as I expected, even on the sheets.

the hotel staff were helpful, especially during check-in. i found the breakfast food tasty, particularly the haggis. the location offers nice walks, a plus for me. parking was convenient directly outside the door.
The lighting in the room was not great. It could have been brighter.
