Mackays Hotel offers a pleasant experience, especially in its apartments and superior doubles which are noted for being spacious. Guests often appreciate the freshly decorated rooms and powerful showers. The breakfast is a highlight, with a selection of fruits, pastries, and a delicious homemade berry, granola, and yogurt pot, and though some have noted the hotel is ageing, many find it a great base to explore Wick, including the beaches near Tesco, and its unique location on the world's shortest street.

GREAT stay!

friendly staff lovely meal attentive bar
The staff welcomed me WARMLY. The meal in the restaurant WAS good, I had a quiet drink. The bar staff was attentive. I recommend it!
The room I booked I DIDN'T find to my expectation. IT was not what I wanted. The window didn't open easily. I was disappointed.

I stayed in the One-Bedroom Apartment. The living room featured a large double glazed sash bay window overlooking a very quiet street. The apartment was freshly decorated and had everything I needed. The bath was good, and the shower worked very well.
The lift to my room was temporarily out of service, slightly inconvenient.
