Wonderful stay with really good service and delicious food!

generous portions tasty food free parking
I enjoyed breakfast that had a lovely selection of cereals before the main course. The portions were very generous, so I requested a smaller portion one morning. Dinner in the MacGregor Bar was excellent. I tasted tasty food with large portions. The free parking near the hotel was very convenient.
I noticed the sound of traffic since my room faced the road. It slightly disturbed my sleep.

wonderful stay in a traditional inn

warm welcome extra toast
james gave us a warm welcome, offering breakfast even though the restaurant was closed! we enjoyed scrambled egg with smoked salmon and a bacon sandwich. he even brought extra toast, jam, tea, and coffee. the staff were amazing and really helpful.
I had a small issue with the shower late one night. The hot water suddenly turned cold! i also noticed banging noises throughout the night, which interrupted my sleep. bath towels were also small.

immaculate room attentive staff flavorful dinner
i enjoyed a wonderful two-night visit here. my standard double room was immaculate. the staff was attentive and gracious. i found the hearty breakfast and flavorful dinner at the macgregor bar to be a treat.
the tv in the room did not work.

I am very happy we found this beautiful place for our travels. The room had ample space and the bed was comfy. The included breakfast was delicious each morning. The staff was helpful and assisted with nearby attractions..
The Wi-Fi signal was occasionally weak in the room.

decent size excellent shower hot water front desk
i booked a standard twin room. it was a decent size and perfect for my needs!!! the shower was excellent after a long day walking. i had a meal and a few beers in the bar. the menu had a good choice at a reasonable price.
i had no hot water and it was reported!!! nothing was done. i didn't even get an apology from the front desk. that really bummed me out and wasn't a great way to end the stay :(
