Lochside Retreat, A Nice Stay

warm welcome excellent choice indian curry cozy bar
Tommy at reception gave a warm welcome. He readily offered a drink, and we enjoyed chatting in the garden. I really liked the Indian curry menu, a surprising but excellent choice. I thought it rivaled some of the best I have tasted. I also liked the big terrace with a loch view. The bar felt very cosy.
The menu focused solely on Indian cuisine, which might not suit guests staying multiple nights. It did not bother me though!
Facilities
8/10
The hotel provides convenient parking . I noted the easy access and clear directions from the main road. There were magical walks through ancient woods and blooming flowers nearby.
Dining
9/10
The restaurant serves until 8:45 PM. It seemed rather late for Scotland. The menu featured very good Indian food options. A good choice of drinks was available in the bar.
Rooms
10/10
The rooms feature decent size with lovely views. I could see the top end of the loch. I thought they were super clean and cozy. The rooms are next to the hotel, with parking at the door.
