Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Glenbruar House is often praised for its spacious and comfortable rooms, with some guests even receiving upgrades to the nearby Best Western. The hotel's location is considered excellent, particularly convenient for those arriving by train or planning walks around Crianlarich. Many guests enjoyed the food, especially the delicious a la carte breakfast, with dinner also available onsite or at the Best Western across the street; however, a few guests have noted that the rooms can be a bit bright at night due to street lighting. There is even a shed for bicycle storage and a drying room which make it a great option for those tackling the West Highland Way.

free upgrade friendly staff extensive menu

the blinds did not fully cover the windows, so light came through during the night , impacting sleep quality.

room change disorganized staff
i was pretty annoyed that i wasn't told about the room change beforehand. i had messaged that morning, and it would have been nice to know my bags needed to go to the best western, not the actual place (i mean, it looked nice enough from the outside). it really felt disorganized. the staff acted like it was no big deal, but it messed up my plans a bit.

average stay, some issues encountered

sporadic traffic bright light
The breakfast was good. That met my expectations.
The noise from the road was quite irritating. the sporadic traffic sped by at night. i couldn't get a good night's sleep. It was frustrating. also, the blinds did not fully cover the windows, so the light was too bright.
