Mixed experience at this hotel
confusing menu small portions
The staff were Really good, really going above and beyond.
The menu proved quite confusing. It was hard to discern what each item actually WAS. Small portions did not help the situation. Drinks also felt overpriced considering the overall experience.

mixed feelings about the stay
damaged showerhead greasy breakfast
The room lacked a radiator thermostat. this resulted in temperature fluctuations. the shower cubicle also had nowhere to put toiletries, a design flaw. the damaged showerhead remained unfixed, despite previous reports. the bar area offered limited seating, accommodating only a few people. the log fire was not maintained adequately. extra charges for vegetables felt unnecessary, considering the dinner, bed & breakfast rate. breakfast was disappointing. Filter coffee was the only option. the cooked breakfast tasted precooked and greasy.
