serene highland escape

highland cow mugs late-night snack seamless check-in
The highland cow mugs added such a whimsical touch to the room. i appreciated the provided microwave. It allowed me to heat up a late-night snack. the self check-in process was seamless. It really eased my arrival after a long journey.
I found the lack of breakfast service slightly inconvenient. A small on-site option would be perfect.
Dining
8/10
The hotel supports local businesses, so it recommends various places for meals. a supermarket close by provides produce to make your own breakfast. I liked that flexibility. there are few choices in town for meals. Planning ahead is wise.
Rooms
9/10
The double room had a comfortable bed, and the shower was good. i found tea and coffee facilities with complimentary biscuits upon arrival. a tabletop fridge and microwave are in each room. I used them often.
Facilities
10/10
Private parking is available. I did not worry about my car. the hotel is close to many places of interest, so it is easily accessible when driving. the self check-in is very convenient. I was happy with it.

spacious double room coffee facilities useful microwave road noise limited parking soulless village
the double room was spacious. it had complimentary biscuits upon arrival and tea and coffee facilities. a microwave was also provided in the room (very useful for heating up leftovers).
the room faced the main road, so it was a bit noisy until late. parking was limited at the hotel. the village felt a bit soulless, and i found few restaurants nearby.

The twin room bathroom was really tidy. the host was also very helpful. She checked in with us after our arrival to ensure everything was okay (that was so thoughtful!).

i was disappointed with the noise level from the nearby street. it was quite loud, and i had trouble sleeping some nights. the lack of a small fridge in the room was also inconvenient. i had expected to have one available. i really think, a fridge is a necessity for longer stays.
