a REAL castle experience

delicious food walk-in shower quirky decor
The staff catered to my vegan and gluten-free needs. The food was delicious, which i appreciated. The room featured BOTH a large bath and a walk-in shower. It was wonderful. I enjoyed exploring the grounds. The castle's artwork and quirky decor details were beautiful.
The pillows really need replacement. They did not provide sufficient support .

peeling paint tired room
I really wanted to love this place. the promise of a grand scottish experience lured me in. alas, the reality was a bit underwhelming. the room i had was a classic double room and felt rather tired. the bathroom showed its age with peeling paint. It was like a bit of a letdown.

a nice stay

modern room great shower lovely view
i appreciated the large, modern room with great amenities. the shower was excellent! i also enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the nice harbour village nearby. a walk around the island next door took only 45 minutes. the breakfast offered lovely views.
The hotel could use some updating. The bedroom felt a bit tired.
