lovely harbor view escape
friendly staff spacious room reasonable selection
i found the staff quite friendly and helpful . the room was spacious and clean, a welcome sight after a long journey. breakfast offered a reasonable selection (i especially enjoyed the kippers!).
The bath water could have been a bit hotter. It was like the temperature was turned down slightly.

The hotel sits conveniently by the harbor and the bus station is just across the road, very useful for getting around. proximity to shops and attractions is also a plus. Everything is within walking distance. views from the room included the harbor and hall street.

the staff consistently displayed a friendly and helpful attitude (always smiling!). the black sheep pub attached to the hotel offered outdoor seating with views of the harbor. service at the restaurant and bar was prompt and attentive.

The superior king room provided ample space and cleanliness and harbor views. the ensuite bathroom was equally spacious, equipped with all necessary amenities. the bed was very comfortable. I slept soundly.

central location fabulous view free parking
the location was indeed central and offered fabulous views directly from the room. the provided amenities were a plus. free parking right outside the hotel was also very useful for my trip.
the bar service was slow, even though it did not seem busy.

The location is great. It is within walking distance of everything. The room was spacious and I slept well. There are many options available for breakfast.
Some young staff seemed untrained. The service was slow, even when the bar was not busy. I noticed staff members bickering among themselves.

the location was amazing. the check-in staff and cleaners were awesome. i had a double room on the third floor accessible via a lift and the bed was comfortable. street parking was available nearby, which i found eventually.

central location spacious room
Location of hotel is central. My room was spacious and clean. Alison was friendly and cute. Free parking existed right outside the hotel.
Bar and restaurant service seemed poor. Staff seemed to talk together instead of serve. I had to get my own menu. It took 10 mins to take my drinks order despite many staff.
