the building had original features and was well maintained. the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna were decent sized and in good condition.

a romantic escape

festive reception warm room tasty breakfast on-site parking
i found the reception area beautifully decorated with christmas lights. it really added a festive feel to our arrival. the double room was comfortably warm, a blessing in december (i always feel the cold!). we enjoyed a tasty breakfast with all the usual trimmings. the on-site parking made things simple.
the bathroom extractor fan was not working.

I found the location ideal for walking to the castle. The private courtyard was a sunny delight, offering a relaxing spot. Parking had ample spaces available. I did enjoy the haggis served at breakfast. It was AMAZING!!!

The leisure facilities included a pool with dedicated hours for families. This was great. the free on-site parking simplified our outings. breakfast was abundant with many options available. I especially liked the fresh fruit selection. the staff swiftly addressed a minor issue with our room lighting. the traditional scottish decor added character. We loved the ambiance.
The shower temperature fluctuated a little. It was a minor inconvenience, but noticeable.
