A solid stay near the airport
convenient location large room comfy bed helpful staff
the location is very convenient for edinburgh airport. the building itself is a large, period house with generously sized rooms. i found the bed quite comfy. the lady at the reception was helpful and made everything easy (i really appreciated her assistance).
the tv aerial signal was poor, so watching tv was difficult in the evenings.

the hotel is situated in a quiet area, though close to the main roads, offering a quiet setting while remaining accessible to edinburgh and glasgow. there is off-street parking available, so i didn't have to worry about where to leave my car.

generous size tea facility quiet location
the room was generously sized. it met my needs perfectly. the inclusion of tea and coffee facilities in the room was a nice touch. the room was situated back from the road so traffic noise was minimal.
the hotel needs some updating, as some paint was chipped.

The room was big and clean. Tea and coffee were provided, and I chose it because it was different from my usual bookings. I really enjoyed my stay, and can definitely recommend. The check-in to give me the key was pleasant.

cute grounds larger room nice decor dirty carpet dusty corners no heating
the outside IS so cute and inviting the grounds were really well-kept. our room was much larger than expected it felt spacious. the inside decor was also quite nice.
the carpet was dirty and there was dust in some corners. i noticed spiders hanging from the ceiling in the lobby. there was no heating in the room it was quite cold.

mixed feelings
poor welcome faulty remote
The welcome was quite poor. The clerk gave me the key after i signed in and pointed vaguely towards the room. the tv remote didn't work, and the wifi kept disconnecting. also, the bedroom really needed airing out. I suspect the bed sheets weren't entirely fresh.

my room was large and had a high ceiling. the bed was very comfy (i slept like a baby!). the location was quiet and i found it easy to find.
the room smelled slightly moldy. the decor felt a little dated. the shower pressure was also quite low.
