quality toiletries thoughtful service

The rooms are beautifully furnished with ample space. the en-suite included a proper rain head in the shower and quality toiletries. i also received thoughtful turn-down service, including both milk and dark chocolates. It added a special touch. the public rooms felt spacious and calm.

i booked through a third party and believed i would be staying in the castle. the website could clarify the difference between the castle rooms and the newer hotel rooms. it caused some initial confusion upon arrival though i ultimately enjoyed my stay.

Staff members were notably confident and personable. they seemed happy to chat and meet any reasonable request. the staff moved me to a quieter table immediately when i mentioned that i was initially seated near a louder bar area. It was appreciated.

The castle is gorgeous I felt charmed. The staff is perfect and the rooms. Breakfast was superb and dinners tasted Michelin quality to me.

Upon check-in, I learned my room was not inside the castle. It was instead located in a modern annex. I found the description misleading.

The room was amazing. I stayed in the castle large double room and it was both spacious and exquisitely decorated. the grounds were immaculate. i spent an evening at trocadero's and the live music, dining, and drinks were top notch! staff were friendly and catered to my every request.

the breakfast service in the morning was slightly disorganized.

super calm place relaxing walks

The room had separate baths and showers. Fruit in the rooms was appreciated. The grounds allow!!! I liked I could take a train from Blantyre into Glasgow and return to a nothing noisy.
