totally amazing stay, you guys!!

modern decor scottish touches excellent service
the newly renovated spaces really popped. my flora macdonald cottage heritage room had such tasteful scottish details. the views blew my mind. one staff remembered my pescaterian needs from dinner. i felt so cared for. the food? excellent! that gingerbread dessert lives rent free in my mind. breakfast set a new standard. this place is a steal!
my one teeny complaint? the wifi was patchy sometimes.

a stay with minor drawbacks

friendly staff helpful staff delicious porridge small room tired room tripping hazard
the staff was helpful and friendly. i particularly appreciated their flexibility when i needed to leave early for a ferry. they even prepared a lovely bag of food and treats for me to take along. porridge was also delicious.
my room was quite small and felt a bit tired. i also found it to be expensive for what it was. the wooden floor in the bar seemed to have lifted, and it presented a tripping hazard, but there were no warnings posted.

underwhelming stay, not worth the price

small room slow service
the location was nice, with easy access to local attractions.
The room was very small for what i paid, it was located in a cottage and the view from the window looked directly at the parked cars. the service was slow, both at breakfast and dinner. They seemed short-staffed, leading to long waits.

fantastic staff very nice breakfast extra effort
The breakfast was Very nice. Leon was really fantastic. He were very good when I left a bag behind with 30 minutes before my ferry departure. He met me halfway on the road.
The shower was tricky. The bathtub was small. It did not allow for much movement.

The staff was helpful and attentive! The food was superb. I particularly enjoyed the ginger bread dessert, it had an excellent flavor. The smoked haddock toasted sandwich for lunch was divine. I was impressed.
Our room was quite small! A tall person might struggle in the attic room. The beds were also on the short side, which presented some challenges. I was surprised.
