location is alright, but some problems arise

vehicle noise restless sleep
location is pretty good, i suppose. its near the town and beach.
i had a room facing the street, and vehicle noise was excessive. honestly, it caused a few nights of restless, limited sleep, i think they need better windows.

street noise room size
the room allocated was not up to standard it was quite small considering the price. street noise was a problem due to thin windows. the bathroom had some maintenance issues such as slow draining sink and inconsistent water temperature. i expected a higher standard of room quality for the price paid

solid stay near the green

clean room good amenity modern bathroom tasty food
i found the room very clean and with good amenities. the hotel is near the bus station and a short walk downtown. i liked the modern bathroom a lot, it has a heated floor and towel racks. the restaurant did serve tasty food and some great cocktails.
i had a few too many flies in one of the under bars. perhaps that's just part of a scottish summer.
