Really good Scottish hospitality
large room friendly staff excellent breakfast
The staff proved friendly and cute upon my arrival. The room was large, boasting a king bed and spacious bathroom (perfect after a long day). Breakfast was excellent, with attentive service and a wide variety of options. I look forward to returning should my travels bring me back to scotland.
The spa was closed , disappointing, and I wasn't informed about it prior to my arrival. I would have liked to have known this in advance.

Breakfast offered many choices. Hot plates kept food warm. I noticed the staff was attentive (especially the waitress). I enjoyed the haggis for breakfast.

The staff was warm and cute. I found them helpful with directions. The waiter during dinner provided super friendly service. I felt well taken care of .

The lounge had period furnishings. There was a comfortable lounge and games area. The building has great character (it is a genuine manor house).

The room was big and quiet. I enjoyed the large, comfortable bed and the strong shower. There were plenty of complimentary toiletries available in the bathroom .

The location is quiet, yet close to the town centre. Riverside walks are nearby (easy access). I found it a short walk to local shops, a bus stop and tesco. It is amazing location.

The room was spacious. It included a comfy double bed. The breakfast was tasty. Plenty of choices were available at breakfast. The full size snooker table was a bonus. I enjoyed it very much. The wee bar provided a nice spot for a drink. The location was good.
The spa was not open.

Breakfast service was efficient. The layout of food was stylish. There were many choices available. I found the options to be of great quality, as I ate there two mornings and always found a variety of options to choose from.

delicious breakfast friendly staff comfortable bed closed spa evening meals dated decor
The breakfast was fantastic! so many choices, and everything tasted really fresh. i enjoyed the large, comfortable bed in my room. It helped me sleep soundly. the staff were also very friendly, always smiling and ready to help with any questions.
The spa wasn't open. also, the restaurant was closed for evening meals. the room decor felt a little dated. The headboard had some noticeable stains.

My stay included a Scottish breakfast that offered vegetarian options. The room featured a four poster bed. I appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee in the room, especially after a long day.

The breakfast included a substantial variety of foods. I especially enjoyed the hot options. Iona at the bar gave a very kind and warm welcome. The chef prepared amazing king prawns.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast included a variety of options. I used the snooker table, it was full sized and well-kept (a great way to spend an evening!).
The bar was closed relatively early.
