charming stay
doggy treats friendly staff dog friendly superb location
the hotel included doggy treats and toys, a really thoughtful touch. i appreciated the attentive staff, particularly danielle, who welcomed us warmly. i loved that the hotel is dog friendly and our dogs even got sausage for breakfast. the location was superb , it's close to everything.
the bedlights were quite difficult to switch off , it took a while to find the switch.

the hotel offers off-street parking , though spaces are limited. breakfast is served buffet style next door , in the haven. dog accessories are available in the room upon arrival.

the hotel's location is excellent, with proximity to parking. the hotel is a short drive from the isle of skye. plockton is a beautiful little port town , perfect for morning and evening strolls.

the rooms are modernised and well equipped , the bed was comfortable. our room was spacious, clean, and stylish. the bathroom had good features , like fluffy towels with a nice scent.

some issues
stained carpet freezing shower
my room ended up being in a separate building next door, it looked a bit run-down. the room itself was big and clean, but one of the windows didn't stay open. the carpet needed a replacement because it had stains and burn marks. i couldn't get any water out of the shower in the morning and when it finally came, it was freezing cold for ages and then boiling hot.

local artist decent coffee friendly staff
the room had mugs designed by a local skye artist. it also included decent coffee (such a simple detail, yet so impactful). the fish at dinner tasted great. the staff remained friendly throughout my visit.
i noticed the need for some tlc in the haven building. the furniture felt basic, with an old-fashioned style. i observed the toilet door handle area looked chipped.
