worn furnishings untoasted muffin
the room had plenty of space for luggage. it was useful.
I found toenail clippings on the carpet upon arrival. It wasn't very cute, you know? i reported it, but it remained there even at checkout, unbelievable. the furnishings seemed worn, with chipped areas and peeling wallpaper. Quite a letdown. breakfast had a decent full scottish but the muffin with the eggs benedict needed toasting. I gave up trying with the toaster provided.

Room had free shower gel and tea. They provide coffee. I found the town nice. Staff gave me a good cooked breakfast. The location is near a coastal walk. It is also close to attractions.

the buffet breakfast is excellent! the scottish breakfast is excellent and cooked perfectly. the pricing is excellent for what you are getting! i would stay here again for sure.
the bathroom had a couple of little age-related things, not too bad!

poor water pressure broken heater
the room was a double room, and it had a great view.
the shower took ages to get hot (i think it was more than 5 minutes). the water pressure was not great either. the oil heater we got did not work properly.

The room was clean and well-kept. I had ample space in the family room. The hotel's proximity to the train station. Free parking was available, a significant plus.
The shower's water pressure was not as strong as I prefer.
