I was annoyed by the lack of assistance with luggage. My "Standard Quadruple Room" was up a terribly narrow and steep staircase. Hotel staff should have warned me. The carpets outside and inside the room looked stained and dirty, so that was also a bummer.

i found the staff at the restaurant and reception to be nice and friendly. the food at the restaurant was tasty. the bathrooms were clean and modern. i appreciated the breakfast, it was fantastic and delicious!!!

the surrounding area is beautiful. it took me only 40 minutes from edinburgh by train. i could also see the queensferry crossing from there. the location is fantastic.

The breakfast was good, and the staff were VERY helpful and polite.
The shower pressure was too low. It was difficult to get properly wet. The soap dispenser also did not work well. I had to buy my own. I expected better modernity.

The gardens were amazing! i found a lovely place for afternoon tea and i really loved the well-kept plants. the location was also easy to find, it made getting around easy. i really appreciated the newly done bathroom. It felt so modern!
The hotel advertised as dog friendly, but there was nowhere to eat with a small dog. That was a pity.

i found the staff friendly and helpful upon arrival. the room included good bathroom facilities and ample space for luggage. the gardens were beautiful and well-kept, a really pleasant sight.
The hallway decor looked a bit outdated. It could use some refreshing.

i appreciated the tranquil location, ideal for a peaceful escape. the bistro provided excellent food and a lovely view from lounge areas. the plentiful parking added convenience to our stay.
