wonderful exterior helpful staff
The building exterior looks wonderful. food tasted really good and the staff were very nice. they assisted quickly when i came down at 1:40 in morning to ask someone to remove a large spider from my room. I appreciate their help.
Rooms felt a little basic. They could use some tlc.

the staff was super friendly!!! the food was amazing!!! getting well-cooked vegetables and individually cooked breakfasts is such a joy. the drinks were reasonably priced too!!!
the room i had really needed to be upgraded. the bathroom also needed to be replaced and properly cleaned. the door was very dirty!!!

i stayed in a triple room while attending an event nearby. the staff offered a warm welcome and arranged an early check-in for us. the scottish breakfast was filling and delicious with several options. i would consider staying here again for the convenience.
the room smelled slightly musty and the carpet looked worn. i also noticed plumbing noises from other rooms when people used the showers. the fire alarm activated early sunday morning, causing a disturbance.

helpful staff calm staff free lift
the staff were very helpful and calm even when they were frantically busy. they gave us a lift to carlisle when we struggled to find a taxi and did not ask for money. it felt so different from faceless corporate hotels
the window did not close properly and the toilet did not flush properly. the beds weren't very comfortable and the decor was old and needed updating. it could be better maintained
