Rooms at Thistle House have views of Loch Fyne or the garden, a flat-screen TV, an en suite bathroom, and a hospitality tray. Each room is individually named after local clans from the west coast of Scotland, including Campbell, MacNaughton, and McPherson. Room types include the Deluxe King Room and the Deluxe Triple Suite; family rooms are available, with tea and coffee stations in rooms and chilled water and milk in a hall fridge.

A full Scottish breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the loch and Inveraray, with all produce locally sourced. Breakfast is pre-ordered with assigned time slots; vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available, along with homemade marmalade and jams. Packed lunches are available on request and include sandwiches, sausage rolls, cake, biscuits, crisps, fruit, and water.

Inveraray is a 25-minute drive from Thistle House and has an 18th-century castle and a Maritime Heritage Museum. Quad biking, archery, and clay shooting are available in Blairmore, under 40 minutes away by car. The owners, Sue and Avril, provide directions for a local hill walk with views over the loch and to Inveraray.
