Really good Stay!

friendly staff mountain view
Everyone was friendly. I set a dinner reservation for 5:30. I treated myself to their excellent humus appetizer, mozzarella and tomato salad, mushroom ravioli entree, and pan fried sea bass entree. I also enjoyed a few great Coast to Coast IPAs on draft! The wait staff was good. The views of the mountain ranges are great. The rooms mostly have a view of the mountains.
The bathroom was really cold on arrival. The radiator fuse had been removed by the hotel. The cups in the room were not replaced after cleaning. They smelled strongly of bleach.
Dining

Charming stay with historical touches

attentive staff drying room solid breakfast
The provided breakfast included a good solid english and scottish selection. The staff members were very attentive and friendly. They showed us their drying room where we could dry our soaked clothes after climbing Ben Nevis. The room was clean and tidy daily.
The building felt a bit dated in areas. Some wear and tear was noticeable in the lobby and restaurant. I noticed the bathroom fan ran constantly, a minor annoyance.

underwhelming stay

poor ventilation uncomfortable night
the location provided beautiful views of the loch. it was a good starting point for exploring nearby attractions.
Our room was warm upon arrival. The outside temperature was much cooler. there was no air conditioning and the open windows did little to alleviate the heat. it resulted in a rather uncomfortable night, i was disappointed with the poor ventilation.
