a decent hotel

delicious breakfast friendly staff upgraded room outdated room smelly towels major refurb
The breakfast was lovely (especially the scottish breakfast!). the staff were always friendly. my upgraded room was excellent. It was a nice and unexpected surprise.
the room i was initially given was in a courtyard. it was outdated and generally in need of a major refurb, i must say. the towels smelled a bit, and generally needed updating. i felt this location has the potential to be beautiful, particularly with the nice setting, but it desperately needs some fixing across the entirety of the premises.

dated furniture hallway noise
Honestly, i was a bit underwhelmed. the room was pretty dated, with furniture that looked like it had seen better days. i found some dust in the corners of the bathroom and on top of the headboard. also, the noise from the hallway was quite noticeable. I could hear every conversation and door slam!!! it made it hard to relax.

nice stay

quiet room friendly staff
the room was quiet, well decorated, and comfortable. i liked the hotel setting and surrounding area. the staff was accommodating, friendly, and pleasant. i enjoyed having the breakfast service and found the staff there to be especially lovely.
i booked to celebrate my wedding anniversary and discovered there was an error with the cost per night advertised. they blamed a pricing glitch and it reminded me of i was being scammed.

My room included a king size bed with fresh linens. a large window offered exterior views and natural light. the bathroom had fresh towels and complimentary toiletries were provided. Amenities are definitely available.

The hotel staff are cheerful and efficient. They keep guests informed. reception service was fast and cheerful. i found the staff to be very attentive and helpful in the dining areas. It was a very positive experience.

well maintained grounds friendly coos spacious room dated decor unkempt furniture separate building
The building and grounds were well maintained. I saw Highland Coos on site and found them very friendly. The room was spacious with armchairs and a bath.
My room was in the Courtyard, separate from the main building. The decor and furniture felt a bit dated and unkempt. It seemed like a last-minute change, possibly due to a large coach party in the main building.

unavailable sandwiches missing outlet
The breakfast was acceptable. There was a standard choice of items.
the bar menu was advertised until 9:00 pm, but sandwiches were unavailable at 6:15 pm. the cooks were too busy with dining room guests, even though only a few tables were occupied. also, there wasn't an electrical outlet in the bathroom. apply, twice.

small room noisy elevator
the food was good. i found the parkland setting lovely, a definite plus.
My room disappointed me. the bed was not up to standard, and the room itself was small. the external elevator was noisy. I even questioned using it!
